This past week was back to busy busy busy. We had our first Cavs game of the season, Halloween party, trick or treating at the wineries in Ashtabula, and Halloween night.
I’m so excited for Cavs season and Wednesday nights game only made me more excited. It was so good to be back home and to watch our amazing young team win. The energy in the arena is crazy and you can tell everyone is so excited for this season.
We had dinner at the arena and I finally got to try Pearl’s Mac and cheese and it was pretty good. It had bacon and green onions on top and was really creamy. The noodles were a little soft, which was my only complaint. We also checked out the new Great Lakes Area, which took over on the old Saucy Brew Works area. The decor is awesome and the bar has all your favorite beer options plus one or two arena specials.
The weekend consisted of a Halloween party where yes I actually dressed up. I decided to be Freddie Krueger and my husband was Woody from Toy Story. It was such a fun night and there were so many crazy costumes.
We also went adult trick or treating at the wineries in Ashtabula. The wineries do different events all year long and this one goes the whole month of October. There were 6 locations, and they had food, drink samples, and candy. We started at Grand River, then traveled to Debonne, South River Winery, Red Eagle Distillery, Black Door Tavern and Cask 307. The pumpkin cheesecake from South River Winery was a fan favorite.
We love going out to the wineries but these events make it even more worth it. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed being able to be outside all day.
Sunday we golfed at Airport Greens in Willoughby Hills, Ohio and none of us can believe it’s pretty much November and we were able to get out. The weather was a little cold but it was still great to be out.
Halloween I chilled at home passing candy out with my kiddos and watching Halloween movies. Bella loves to dress up and was Elsa again this year. We didn’t see too many kids but it’s now tradition and Bella loves it. Oh and there was also a huge win from the Browns. Can’t miss out on mentioning that.
What a week going into the week of November. Can’t wait for all the November fun!
