I’m a little behind on weekly reviews since we went out of town and the last couple weeks has been so busy. The idea was to write this in the car on my way to Wisconsin and post it. Well that didn’t happen lol. Instead I was too busy site seeing all the cities I had never been to and can’t wait to go back to explore. Since it is written I figured I would still share how the middle of December was. On to the weekly review.
We watched another win by the Cavs against the Heat. I’m loving watching this team. Even when they lose they almost always play a good game and it’s fun watching them.
Before the game we stopped at one of our favorites Vincenza’s pizza and pasta. It reminds me of a New York style family owed pizza place. They are located in the 5th Street Arcade and are right across from the arena. My husband normally gets a slice of whatever pizza they have premade and tries something else they have already made. I normally get a side salad and a hot Italian sub. The food always comes out quick and tastes amazing. Their Italian sub has become one of my favorites.
Friday we joined some of our friends at Melt as we never miss the December specialty sandwich, the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon Melt. The guys just love this sandwich. It comes with Hickory smoked bacon, black pepper crusted slab cut bacon, maple bourbon glazed smoked pork belly, Italian pancetta herb creamed cheese with bacon bits, in-house made bacon infused Mayo, sharp cheddar, lettuce and tomato. The next time this sandwich is normally available will be for Christmas in July and we always try to stop in then too. We also tried some of their appetizers. Everyone seemed happy with their choices for apps. I got my normal half melt with chorizo and potatoes and a side salad. I still swear Melt has some of the best salads and it’s a must every time we eat there.
We saw Spider Man on Saturday and omg! It’s a must see. I cried half the movie. We finished our weekend out celebrating my husband’s birthday. We watched some football, relaxed and randomly went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner with some friends and family. All I will say is there rolls and cinnamon butter. That’s all I need from there. Otherwise the food was okay. I will give a shout out to our server who was super busy and still sang happy birthday not once but twice. I appreciate her so much!! Happy birthday to my love!
