The Great Geauga County Fair

This county fair has been a staple in my life since I was a child. In 2025 the fair goes from Thursday August 28th to Monday Sept 1st. The Geauga County fair is the longest continuous fair in Ohio and for good reason.

There is a cost to get into the fair which if bought ahead of time is $10 for a single ticket. The rides do cost extra and for an unlimited bracelet the cost is $25. Some of the events cost extra like the demolition derby. Check their website for prices.

The fair is huge with tons of food options, rides, animal barns, horse shows, tons of entertainment and all the 4H competitions that we live for like the best apple pie which you can then bid on and take home.

The Geauga County Fair hosts two demolition derby nights, truck and tractor pulls and high steel rodeo, which cost an additional price. They have some free entertainment that includes the sea lion splash, Pirates of the Colombian Caribbean which is a high wire act, magic shows, butterfly encounters and horse shows.

Some of our favorites are the turkey legs and gyros. I love to see all the animals and walking through the buildings that highlight all the best of winners. There are so many talented people that partake and present amazing pies and products. The 4H kids do an amazing job with their animals as well and I enjoy watching the showing of the horses.

The Geauga County fair has so much to offer. What are some of your favorites?
