Since most of summer has been canceled this year my question for everyone is what is everyone going to do to keep busy?
The positive of the summer being cancelled is I feel like the summer for the first time in a long time will be very relaxed. I started a garden for the first time ever. Not sure if I can really grow anything, but I am sure going to try. I planted some tomatoes, cucumbers and a couple different peppers. I will keep you updated if I actually see any growth.
I have already spent as many of the good days we have had outside. Whether it is at the beach, on a patio, or sitting in my yard or driveway with our now new baby pool. Cleveland has so many good options to spend time outside. My favorite would be Fairport Beach. It is a smaller beach than Mentor Headlands or Edgewater, but the beach is always much cleaner and the water tends to be as well. I also just love the little town of Fairport. They have a family restaurant I just tried the other day and a new ice cream spot that has boozy ice cream, which I plan on reviewing both in the future. My husband and I also have kayaks that I can’t wait to take out and enjoy some time on the water.
What else do you decide to do when summer has been cancelled you decide to try all the ice cream places around Cleveland since there is not much else to do and we love ice cream. This all came about one night we were sitting at East Coast Custard with our good friends, talking about our favorite ice cream places and it then turned into let’s try a bunch of different ice cream places from all over Cleveland, and then it began. I plan on doing small reviews on each one and if there is a specific one you think we should try let me know.
I would love to hear some of your summer plans, some places we should check out and some of your favorite ice cream places and restaurants. Send me a message, DM or an email and we will go check them out!
