Springtime in Cleveland

Cleveland is gorgeous in the Spring even though it may still snow one or two more times before we are finally in the clear. The weather does affect how long you will be able to see some of these beautiful blooms so keep that in mind. I’ll cover two places in this post that you should visit if you’re in Cleveland. The places are also beautiful all summer long but in the spring they have some gorgeous blooms. There are many more beautiful places to visit in the spring but these are two of my favorites.

The first place is the Metropark’s Brookside Reservation. This park is also attached to the zoo if you have time to visit both. Brookside Reservation is known for their Cherry Trees. I have lived in Cleveland my whole life and never knew this was a thing. The Cherry Trees are up and down a section of the main road John Nagy Blvd. Most people park along the street and walk the paths on both sides. As well as have picnics and take family photos. They bloom around the beginning of April depending on the weather and bloom for a couple weeks unless we have a strong storm.

The second place to visit in the spring is Wade Oval Lagoon at University Circle. They as well have some Cherry trees and other blooming trees and flowers. The lagoon is also beautiful all summer long. It’s a great place to sit and eat lunch outside or take a nice walk. Lots of people take photos here with the blooming trees and lagoon behind them or around that side of the art museum, which also has some spring blooming trees.
