Well if you are like me and you love wine but hate the way you feel the next day then Scout and Cellar Wine is a product that you should try. It all started when one of my friends approached me, realizing that I love drinking wine and was like I’m a consultant for this clean crafted wine company, called Scout and Cellar. You should try our wine. I love supporting local businesses so I couldn’t wait to try her product. I also promised the night I tried them that I would provide an update how I felt the next day considering that it is hit or miss how I feel the day after a glass or two or a bottle of wine, but I felt great after I drank Scout and Cellar. If you hate feeling like crap the next day you should really give their products a try. They do carry more then just wine but all I tried and will review is the wine.
They are a clean crafted wine company, which means they are committed to creating synthetic-chemical-free delicious wine that comes from all around the world. The wines that they sell are literally made from grapes and usually have less than 50 ppm of sulfites, but always less the 100 ppm. Most wines have as high as 350 ppm sulfites, added sugars and all kinds of other chemicals. They lab test their wines multiple times to make sure that all of these chemicals and additives are not in their wines and that they fit their mission statement of providing clean crafted wines.
Our wine night consisted of Dove Hunt Dog Cabernet Sauvignon from Eagle Peak Mendocino County and Conte De La Terre Gewürztraminer from Willamette Valley, Oregon. For starters I will drink white or red wine, and I am not too picky on dry or sweet, but I typically drink white wine for some reason. It all depends on my mood though. Sometimes a Cabernet Sauvignon will be too dry for me but this one was perfect. I think it is exactly what I look for in a Cabernet. It had great flavor was not sweet but not too dry.
The Gewurtztraminer, which I should add is one of my favorite types of wine, fell in my top 5 of wines. As Scout and Cellar says this wine is “aromatic and juicy with ripe orange, Meyer lemon and honeysuckle on a medium-bodied frame with a lingering finish”. I totally agree with this description and one of the things I like most about this wine is the lingering flavor or as I put it the night I tried it the little bit of spice or kick you get during the finish.
The night I tried these wines I had dinner with my friend, who loves wine and drinks it very often. She has already purchased two other bottles to try that is how much she likes it. I am looking at putting in an order myself to try some of the other wines they have, as they just released some new wines for February, consisting of a Vente Malbec, and two new Sauvignon Blanc. If your interested in trying some new clean crafted wine and you are like me and tend to be more sensitive I highly suggest giving Scout and Cellar a try. Contact my friend and consultant Stephanie Evans , her information is in the below picture and let me know your experience and opinion.
One bottle of wine was provided for us to try but our opinions were all our own. We did purchase a bottle so we could try a red and a white.
