Pins Mechanical Co. and 16 Bit Arcade

New to Ohio City is Pins Mechanical Co. There are multiple Pins locations around the U.S but what makes this one special to Cleveland is they partnered up with the owners of 16 Bit Arcade, which was in Lakewood, OH before closing down recently. One of our favorite things to do when hanging out on the west side, was to make a stop at 16 Bit. It was just so fun to play the old school arcade games and have a drink. Well now we can do that again in Ohio City but with so many other options of things to do.

I really like the layout of this location. Even when it was busy I didn’t feel cramped or overwhelmed. I also really like that they allow you to bring in food from local restaurants. Instead of having a kitchen and trying to compete with all the amazing food options in Ohio City they decided on no kitchen. They really focused on their drink menu and all the different games they could provide. They have tons of tables and areas to just chill if you don’t want to play games, or bowl. They have 3 bars, 2 on the entry level and one downstairs. They have an extensive beer menu, signature cocktails and a pretty decent sized Bourbon selection.

We ordered a couple beers and I tried the Berry Citrus Old Fashioned. I thought the cocktail was going to be on the sweet side but it honestly was mostly Three Roses Bourbon with a little bit of citrus flavor and when I say a little bit I mean a little bit. I love bourbon so I really enjoyed the cocktail but if you are looking for something that does not taste like alcohol, this is not the drink for you. We also saw people walking around with a drink that had a popsicle in it. Next time I go back that’s on my list to try.

There are different places all over to take photos in front of. Even the bathrooms have cool signs and drawings all over the walls. There are a bunch of arcade games upstairs, connect four, a hoops game, an indoor bocce court, and some Sega games. Downstairs there are the duckpin lanes and an area with tons of pinball machines, and some more arcade games.

We had so much fun the night we stopped in and since it was the second night they had been opened the wait to bowl was over two hours so we didn’t get a chance to bowl. We do plan on going back soon to get some bowling in and more arcade playing. If your looking for a fun night out check out Pins. They have something for everyone!
