I know what you’re thinking an article about Pittsburgh, PA when I’m from Cleveland and they are the Cleveland Brown’s biggest football rival. LOL Yes, but I can explain. I have seen Kenny Chesney in Pittsburgh, counting this time, 4 times and there is just something about seeing him in Pittsburgh. The people tailgate like it’s a football game. They utilize the parking lots, bars and the river. There are boats docked and tied to each other all down the river. It just brings me so much joy to see everyone having fun and enjoying country music.
The thing I love is that it’s not just Kenny and an opener. Since it’s a stadium show he always has multiple artists. I’ve been fortunate enough to see Old Dominion, Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Sam Hunt, Dan & Shay, Carly Pearce, Megan Moroney and Zac Brown Band. Some of the best of the best.
This year was even more special because it was our 11 year wedding anniversary and for anyone who still follows traditional wedding gifts, year 11 is steel and we spent it in the steel city. We spent the day with some of our favorite people as well.
When you walk into the front of the stadium you walk into a museum like area which celebrates all the Steelers achievements. As a huge football fan it was pretty interesting to walk around this area. There stadium does not just seem like a stadium with the way they have it setup. You then walk through like any other stadium to your seats. There truly is not a bad seat as I have sat all the way at the top to this year we were on the floor.
If you love county music I suggest seeing a stadium show. Whether it’s Kenny Chesney or another artist. They are some of my favorite concerts and I feel like I really get my money’s worth.
